The ends of the traction rope are connected to the car and counterweight respectively, and are wound around the traction wheel and guide wheel.

The two ends of the traction rope are connected to the car and the counterweight respectively, and are wound on the traction wheel and the guide wheel. The traction motor drives the traction wheel to rotate after the speed is changed by the reducer. The traction force generated by the friction between the traction rope and the traction wheel is used to realize the lifting and lowering movement of the car and the counterweight to achieve the purpose of transportation.
Function
Modern elevators are mainly composed of traction machines (winch), guide rails, counterweight devices, safety devices (such as speed limiters, safety clamps and buffers, etc.), signal control systems, car and hall doors, etc. These parts are installed in the shaft and machine room of the building respectively. Usually, wire rope friction transmission is adopted. The wire rope is passed around the traction wheel, and the two ends are connected to the car and the counterweight respectively. The motor drives the traction wheel to lift the car. Elevators require safety and reliability, high transportation efficiency, accurate leveling and comfortable riding. The basic parameters of elevators mainly include rated load, number of passengers, rated speed, car outer dimensions and shaft type.
